Regular Season Round 15: Bourg - Joventut 65-86

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bourg. Second ranked Spanish Joventut faced 4th placed French JL Bourg. Guests from Badalona (10-5) smashed host JL Bourg (8-7) 86-65. Joventut looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-1987, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard Kyle Guy (188-1997, college: Virginia) helped adding 21 points. Five Joventut players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman James Palmer Jr (196-1996, college: Nebraska) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Axel Julien (182-1992) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Joventut maintains second place with 10-5 record behind leader Gran Canaria, which they share with H.Tel-Aviv. JL Bourg lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Joventut will meet at home Cluj Napoca (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JL Bourg will play against the league's leader Prometey (#1) in Kamianske and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
