Very expected game in Wroclaw where 10th ranked Polish WKS Slask (1-16) was defeated by third ranked Israeli Hapoel Tel-Aviv (12-5) 87-76 on Wednesday. Hapoel Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jordan McRae (197-1991, college: Tennessee) who scored 17 points. His fellow American import guard JCovan Brown (188-1990, college: Texas) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. American point guard Jeremiah Martin (189-1996, college: Memphis) produced 21 points and 5 assists and Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (211-1987, college: Radford) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to second place, which they share with Joventut and Turk Telekom. WKS Slask lost their eighth game in a row. Defending Polish champion keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will meet at home Promitheas (#4) in the next round. WKS Slask will play against Trento (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
