Regular Season Round 1: Joventut - Besiktas 62-63

Another exciting game for Turkish Besiktas which played in Badalona against Spanish Joventut. Besiktas upset home team edging them after exciting game by one point 63-62. Joventut was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Joventut was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Berkan Durmaz (206-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and swingman Yigit Arslan (198-1996) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-1987, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Pau Ribas (194-1987) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Joventut's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Besiktas will play against Prometey in Kamianske in the next round. Joventut will play on the road against Cedevita Ol. in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
