Very expected game when German Hamburg Towers were defeated at home by British Lions 100-94 on Tuesday. Lions made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Matt Morgan (188-1997, college: Cornell) who scored 21 points and 6 assists. Center Gabriel Olaseni (208, college: Iowa) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Lions players scored in double figures. Polish power forward Aleksander Dziewa (207-1997) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American guard Aljami Durham (193-1998, college: Providence) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Hamburg Towers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lions will meet Prometey in the next round where they are favorite. Hamburg Towers will play against Paris Basket and hope to win that game.
