Regular Season Round 2: Cedevita Ol. - Joventut 87-88

Quite upsetting was Slovenian Cedevita Ol.'s home defeat in a game versus Spanish Joventut who edged hosts 88-87. Cedevita Ol. was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Joventut looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Cedevita Ol.'s players. The best player for the winners was Slovakian power forward Vladimir Brodziansky (210-1994, college: TCU, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. American DeShaun Thomas (201-1991, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 23 points. American guard Justin Cobbs (191-1991, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 28 points and 4 assists (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) and swingman Jaka Blazic (196-1990) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Joventut will meet at home Wolves in the next round. Cedevita Ol. will play against Besiktas in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
