The most surprising game was the first loss of Turkish Besiktas (3-1) in Vilnius on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by seventh ranked Lithuanian Wolves (1-2) 90-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Besiktas. 28 personal fouls committed by Besiktas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward TreShawn Thurman (201-1995, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Guard Kristupas Zemaitis (192-1996) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Matt Mitchell (198-1999, college: SDSU) replied with 21 points and Dominican Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) added 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Besiktas. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wolves maintains seventh position with 1-2 record. Besiktas at the other side keep the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Wolves are looking forward to face Cedevita Ol. (#9) in Ljubljana in the next round. Besiktas will play at home against Umana Venezia (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
