But Emlak was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Gdynia 56-52 on Thursday night. Gdynia outrebounded Emlak 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian power forward Laura Miskiniene-Svaryte (190-1992) who scored 7 points and 17 rebounds. Center Kamila Borkowska (201-2002) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Gdynia's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Berfin Sertoglu (171-2004) who recorded 13 points and American guard Sydney Wiese (183-1995, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) added 6 points and 5 assists respectively. Gdynia will meet at home Roche in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Emlak will play against Fribourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
