Very expected game in Badalona where bottom-ranked German Hamburg Towers (0-5) were crushed by fifth ranked Spanish Joventut (3-2)108-76 on Tuesday. Joventut made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Hamburg Towers turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was point guard Andrew Andrews (188-1993, college: Washington) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). DeShaun Thomas (201-1991, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 16 points. Four Joventut players scored in double figures. Seth Hinrichs (201-1993, college: Lafayette) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard William Christmas (196-1996, college: CPP) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
