Regular Season Round 2: Sf.Gheorghe - IDK Euskotren 54-62

There was a minor upset in Sfantu Gheorghe where Romanian Sf.Gheorghe was defeated by Spanish IDK Euskotren 62-54 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Swedish power forward Louice Halvarsson (191-1989) who scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Delicia Washington (178-1997, college: Clemson) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. American center Ciera Johnson (190-1997, college: Texas A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Hungarian swingman Beatrix Meresz (185-1999) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. IDK Euskotren will meet Proteas in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Crvena zvezda in Beograd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
