Kursk get the title with a surprise comeback - Mar 22, 2012 Honestly speaking, Kayseri was close to the Eurocup Women title after beating her Russian rival Dinamo Kursk at home but a final is a final. Going to Kursk with a 14 points winning margin, started with a storming style and finished the first quarter 24-13. Although offensive woes did not diminsh, Kayseri continued with a better defence and the half time score was 38-25 for Kursk. Michelle Snow, already started with 8 points in the opening quarter, made the show go on with successive jumpers and the home side did never look back. The only resistant player for Kayseri in offence was Sanders, but her 27 points 10 rebs effort was not enough. The crucial point was may be when nearly 2 mins left in the third quarter, Kayseri made the difference go below 12 points, but that was it. The score 75-52 means a victory for Kursk and 4 years later, Eurocup Women title went to Russia. The last team to achieve that success from Russia was Dinamo Moscow, who had stars like Augustus, Zogota and Brunson.
