Scott number one in EuroCup for round 5 (by Hoops Agents)

American Power forward Joel Scott (201-PF-2001, agency: Pensack Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for London Lions, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Turk Telekom (#8, 1-4) with 18-point margin 79-61. Lions maintains the 4th position in EuroCup . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. London will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Lions and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Joel Scott averages this season 10.8ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young North Macedonian Cedi Osman (203-SF-1995) of league's second-best PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki. Osman had a very good evening with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as PAOK was edged by slightly higher-ranked Bahcesehir (#1, 4-1) 84-81. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. PAOK still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Osman is a newcomer at PAOK, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#2). He also registered 4.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Icelandic guard Elvar Fridriksson (182-PG-1994) of Neptunas Klaipeda (#6). Fridriksson scored 24 points and passed 9 assists. Despite Fridriksson's great performance the Neptunas lost 85-94 to the league's current leader Napoli (#1, 5-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Neptunas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Fridriksson has individually a great season in EuroCup. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.2apg (8th best).
