Julianna Okosun gets MVP of the Week award for EuroCup (by Hoops Agents)

Danish Julianna Okosun (194-C-2001) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Allianz Geas Sesto San Giovanni and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old center had a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds, while her team edged out Royal Braine (#4, 1-3) 80-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. San Giovanni is placed at 2nd position in EuroCup. San Giovanni is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Okosun turned to be San Giovanni's top player in her first season with the team. Marquette University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Okosun is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.0ppg) and rebounds (2nd best: 11.3rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman Aubrey Griffin (185-G/F-2001) of TTT Riga. Griffin impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as TTT Riga lost that game 76-82 to slightly higher-ranked E.Ramla (2-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. TTT Riga still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Griffin is a newcomer at TTT Riga and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 10.3rpg and 4.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Iimar'I Thomas (178-G/F-2000) of second-ranked Elitzur Ramla. Thomas scored 29 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of E.Ramla, leading her team to a 82-76 win against #3 ranked TTT Riga. E.Ramla needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Thomas has a very solid season. In 6 games in EuroCup she scored 18.5ppg. She also has 5.5rpg and a FGP of 63.6%.
