France opened win count in Skopje. They outlasted Israel in overtime for 1-1 record. Six players scored in double digits for les Bleues. Nolan Traore (190-PG-2006) had 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the win. France unloaded 46 points in the second half to force overtime. They ignited a 17-5 rally in the extra period to seal the win. Essengue Noa (196-G-2006) and Leon Sifferlin (196-G-2008) had 14 points each for France. Ben Saraf (195-G-2006) delivered 21 points for Israel.
Turkey - Latvia 60-51
Turkey topped Latvia for the first win. Turkey grabbed a 36-24 halftime lead. Latvia cut the deficit in the second half but could not avoid the defeat. Demir Dogan (201-F-2006) produced 18 points, while Yagiz Aksu (192-G-2005) netted 10 points for the winners. Jekabs Niedra (184-G-2006) tossed in 11 points for Latvia.
Croatia - Slovenia 64-83
Slovenia stormed past Croatia to improve at 2-0 record atop of Group B. Slovenia drooped 49 points in the first half to take a 17-point lead. Slovenia extended the margin at 20-point mark heading into the fourth quarter and rallied to the victory. Urban Kroflic (197-F-2006) scored 22 points and collected 11 rebounds, while Vit Hrabar (202-SF-2006) added 12 points for Slovenia. Dino Subasic (196-F-2006) notched 14 points and 9 rebounds for Croatia.
Poland - Italy 69-72
Italy defeated Poland to stay perfect in Skopje. The Azzurri secured a 26-15 lead ten minutes into the game. Poland managed to get within striking distance late in the game but Italy held on to avoid an upset. Samuele Miccoli (188-G-2006) produced 22 points, while Dame Sarr (196-F-2006) added 15 points for Italy. Mateusz Orlowski (183-G-2006) banked in 24 points for Poland.
Spain - Montenegro 74-66
Spain edged Montenegro to gain the first win in Group D. Montenegro dominated in the first half. They piled up a 41-30 halftime lead. But Spain turned things around in the second half. They ignited a 44-25 rally to snatch the victory. Mario Saint-Supery (192-G/F-2006) provided 28 points, while Ruben Valero (200-F-2006) added 10 points for Spain. David Mirkovic (200-PF-2006) notched 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for Montenegro.
North Macedonia - Greece 48-78
Greece posted the second win in a row in Skopje. They thumped hosting North Macedonia to stay perfect. Greece opened a comfortable 42-22 halftime lead. They held North Macedonia to just 26 points in the second half and rallied to the victory. Stylianos Maragkoudakis (180-PG-2006) came up with 13 points for the Hellenes. Nikola Janichikj (2007) had 9 points for North Macedonia.
Holland - Lithuania 73-80
Lithuania outscored Netherlands to take the second straight win in Skopje. Netherlands enjoyed a 24-16 lead ten minutes into the game. But Lithuania responded with a 26-14 rally in the second term to spur ahead. They protected the lead well throughout the second half and rallied to the victory. Kasparas Jakucionis (187-F-2006) nailed 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to pace the winners. Aristode Dwayne (195-F-2006) had 17 points for Netherlands.
Denmark - Serbia 56-77
Serbia knocked down Denmark to improve at 1-1 record in Skopje. Denmark jumped off to a 25-20 lead ten minutes into the game. But Serbia responded with a strong 37-20 rally in the second half to race to the victory. Ognjen Radosic (191-SG-2006) scored 26 points, while Miroslav Bogdanovic (190-PG-2006) added 12 points for Serbia. Frederik Erichsen (205-G-2006) had 13 points and 8 rebounds for Denmark.
