Netherlands recorded a 40-38 halftime lead. But Belgium responded with a 27-10 rally in the third term to spur ahead for good. Aaron Ona Embo (175-G-2009) tossed in 24 points and dished out 8 assists, while Tim Warniers added 19 points for Belgium. Jayden Anike (195-SG-2008) tossed in 30 points for Netherlands. Estonia - Slovakia 73-48 Estonia toppled Slovakia to secure the semifinal berth. The Baltic team accumulated a 39-21 halftime lead. They went on a 21-14 run in the third term to clear off for good. Jesper Roman (193-G-2008), Kenneth-Hans Moldre (193-G-2008) and Hendrik Pertel (197-F-2008) posted 13 points each for Estonia. Matus Rybar (190-G-2009) responded with 19 points for Slovakia. Montenegro - Switzerland 72-79 Switzerland outscored Montenegro to seal the semifinal appearance. Montenegro eked out a 36-35 halftime lead. Switzerland denied the deficit in the third term as the teams entered the final stanza all tied at 58. Switzerland though went on a 21-14 rally in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Elyjah Rebetez (190-G-2008) scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and issued 9 assists for Switzerland. Dusan Stankovic (202-F-2008) tossed in 18 points and collected 12 rebounds for Montenegro. Romania - Sweden 96-73 Romania eased past Sweden in the quarterfinal clash. David Fometescu (182-G-2008) scored 27 points to lead the charge. David-Ioan Rasoga (187-G/F-2008) posted 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Malcolm Price (185-G-2008) responded with 20 points for Sweden. |
