Poland started strong and remained in front for the majority of the game. They won the first period 17-15 and then added a 13-8 rally in the second frame. Belgium tried hard to recover and posted an 18-16 run in the third quarter. Manon Grzesinski (183-F/C-95) cut it to 49:51 midway through the final period, but Poland pushed the tempo for good. Bujniak Sylwia and Rembiszewska Amalia scored the last points for the winners to triumph at the tournament. Angelika Stankiewicz (176-SG-95) led the way with 18 points and Rembiszewska Amalia poured in 11. Monika Naczk (167-PG-95) scored 9, whilst Bujniak Sylwia had 8. They won the Baltic battle against Latvia 59:56 and won Bronze medals of the competition. Both teams realized the importance of the game. Latvia took 11-9 lead at the end of the first period, while Lithuania won the second frame 21-20 and reduced to just 1 point. Lithuania managed to grab the lead in the third quarter and had 46:43 lead after 30 minutes of the game. They led in the whole fourth period, while Latvia reduce to final three points at the end. Roberta Mizgeryte (188-PF-95) top-scored for the winners with 15 points and Juskaite Laura notched 14. Justina Kraujunaite (174-SG-95) produced 11 points and Sirsinaityte Austeja had 10. Bosnia scored the first 8 points in the game and never looked behind in the first period. Nikolina Delic (183-SG-96) closed the first period at 20:11, while Markovic brought 28:19. Gorobets Vita scored two three-pointers in a row for Ukraine to give her side a 35:32 lead. Bosnia meanwhile grabbed 45:39 lead at the end of the third period and then added 22-11 in the last stanza. Hungary looked better in the first 30 minutes of the game and won the first three quarters of the game. They posted a 22-21 lead in the start and then added a 16-15 run in the second period. Moreover Hungary won the third quarter 17-10 but could not win the game. Led by Borislava Hristova (181-G-96), Bulgaria needed a strong end to seal the victory. Borislava Hristova scored the last points for the winners, while Agnes Dobos (190-C-96) made the final result in the game. Borislava Hristova erupted with 32 points for the winners and Dineva Teodora netted 13. Aksentieva Kalina scored 9, while Georgieva Iva posted 7. Latvia - Poland 55-70 Poland reach the Final in Miskolc at the U18 European Championship in Division B. Poland overcame Latvia 70:55 and got Division A promotion for the next year. Latvia will have another chance tomorrow when they will take on Lithuania for the last ticket to Division A. Latvia managed to win the first period 20:15, but Poland dominated the rest of the game. The latter responded with a 20-13 rally in the second period and posted another two victories in the second half. Poland needed a 17-10 surge in the third period and then finished the game with an 18-12 rally.
