Division C. Georgia celebrate title in Andorra

Malta - Georgia 37-61
Georgia clinched Division C title in Andorra. They overcame Malta in the championship game tonight. Georgia posted an 18-6 lead after ten minutes. Georgia followed with a strong 33-21 second half run to march to the trophy. Lika Kvirkvelia (2005) tallied 18 points and 19 rebounds for Georgia. Natali Chutkerashvili (2005) and Salome Svani (2007) tallied 12 points each for the champions. Danika Galea (185-C-2005) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Malta.

3-4 Place

Andorra - Albania 73-79
Albania outscored Andorra to finish third at the tournament. Albania dominated for the bigger part of the game. They established a 43-29 halftime advantage. Albania extended the lead to as many as 16 points at the final break. Andorra sank 27 points in the fourth period but could not avoid the defeat. Anisa Bokrina (170-SF-2005) provided 22 points for Albania. Andrea Cobo (168-G-2007) answered with 24 points for Andorra.

5-6 Place

Gibraltar - Moldova 53-40
Gibraltar beat Moldova to claim the fifth position in the championship. Gibraltar eked out a 26-21 halftime lead. They went on a 17-9 run in the third term to clear off for good. Adriana Villada (174-G-2004) delivered 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Marina Chioroglo (173-G-2004) answered with 15 points for Moldova.
