A Division top team - Szolnok (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked NKA Pecs (7-12) 95-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of NKA Pecs. Szolnok looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Szolnok made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for international point guard Adam Somogyi (193-2000) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 assists. Polish Szymon Wojcik (208-1999, college: UMBC) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side the former international center Gergo Meleg (206-2000, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) responded with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Szolnok have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-2 record. NKA Pecs at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Kormend and Duna Aszfalt.
