League status
The Liga Nationala Baschet de Masculin is the first-tier professional basketball league in Romania. Liga Nationala was established in 1932.
The Liga Nationala sits above the Liga I which effectively forms the second-tier of Romanian basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 8 teams qualify to the play-offs.
Limits of non-Romanian players per team: 5 import players (non-Europeans), 5 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 5.
