There was no surprise in Istanbul where 3rd ranked CzechBrno (2-4) was crushed by first ranked Turkish Galatasaray (5-1) 110-62 on Wednesday. Galatasaray dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Brno 's 32. They outrebounded Brno 45-15 including a 36-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Galatasaray especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Brno 's players. Chinese center Li Yueru (201-1999) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Azerbaijani forward Brianna Fraser (190-1997, college: Maryland) chipped in 22 points during the contest. Five Galatasaray players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Katerina Galickova (182-2000) with 15 points and forward Karolina Sotolova (170-1999) scored 12 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Brno keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Lublin.
