Regular Season Round 15: Lietkabelis - Valencia 91-96

There was no surprise in Panevezys where 8th ranked LithuanianLietkabelis (4-11) were defeated by first ranked Spanish Valencia (13-2) 96-91 on Tuesday. Valencia shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American Semi Ojeleye (201-1994, college: SMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. Armenian-American guard Chris Jones (188-1993, college: Angelo St.) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was swingman Martynas Varnas (196-1997) with 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and Paulius Danusevicius (205-2001) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Valencia and four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valencia maintains first place with 13-2 record, which they share with Bahcesehir. Lietkabelis lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost.
