Very expected game in Ankara where 9th ranked GermanHamburg Towers (3-12) were defeated by fifth ranked Turkish Turk Telekom (9-6) 77-65 on Wednesday. Strangely Hamburg outrebounded Turk Telekom 43-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Turk Telekom made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American Anthony Brown (199-1992, college: Stanford) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 assists. French power forward Yoan Makoundou (207-2000) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Jordan Barnett (201-1995, college: Missouri) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and South Sudanese-American power forward Kur Kuath (208-1998, college: Marquette) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Turk Telekom moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hamburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Aris Midea.
