Regular Season Round 16: Hamburg - Lietkabelis 84-77

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked LithuanianLietkabelis (4-12) lost on the road to ninth ranked German Hamburg Towers (4-12) 84-77 on Tuesday. The winners were led by South Sudanese-American power forward Kur Kuath (208-1998, college: Marquette) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Johnathan Stove (193-1995, college: Louisiana) supported him with 22 points. Stove is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. Hamburg Towers' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points and 6 rebounds by Serbian center Djordje Gagic (210-1990) did not help to save the game for Lietkabelis . Ukrainian point guard Oleksandr Kovliar (191-2002) added 16 points and 9 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Hamburg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Lietkabelis. Lietkabelis lost fourth consecutive game.
