There was no surprise when 6th ranked Germanratiopharm Ulm (9-9) was defeated at home by third ranked Israeli Hapoel Tel-Aviv (12-6) 97-90 on Wednesday. H.Tel-Aviv made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center Johnathan Motley (207-1995, college: Baylor) scored 24 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Marcus Foster (191-1995, college: Creighton) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Karim Jallow (198-1997) with 12 points and 6 assists and American guard Justinian Jessup (201-1998, college: Boise St.) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv have a solid three-game winning streak. H.Tel-Aviv moved-up to second place, which they share with Gran Canaria. Ulm lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bourg and Buducnost.
