ButNeptunas were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Cluj Napoca 107-102 on Tuesday night. Cluj Napoca shot 26 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Neptunas only scored ten points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was American point guard Daron Russell (180-1998, college: Maryland) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Ghanian center Nathan Mensah (208-1998, college: SDSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Donatas Tarolis (205-1994) produced 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) added 19 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
