The game between closely ranked teams ended with TurkishEmlak 's home victory over Latvian TTT Riga in Istanbul 84-56 on Thursday. Emlak made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Emlak had a 36-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Emlak made 9 blocks. Nigerian-American power forward Victoria Macaulay (193-1990, college: Temple) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and American-Cameroonian guard Jessica Thomas (168-1994, college: Miami, FL) supported her with 16 points and 6 assists. Five Emlak players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 6 rebounds by guard Ieva Pulvere (172-1990) did not help to save the game for TTT Riga . Guard Enija Viksne (178-2004) added 10 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
