There was no surprise when 7th ranked GermanChemnitz (3-6) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Turkish Turk Telekom (6-3) 87-63 on Thursday. Turk Telekom made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Turk Telekom had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Croatian point guard Jaleen Smith (190-1994, college: UNH) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and American guard Michael Devoe (196-1999, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 13 points and 7 assists. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ivorian-German forward Kevin Yebo (207-1996) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Panamanian guard Iverson Molinar (193-1999, college: MSU) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turk Telekom moved-up to third place, which they share with Buducnost and Bahcesehir. Loser Chemnitz dropped to the eighteenth position with six games lost.
