Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked RomanianCluj Napoca and 5th ranked Lithuanian Neptunas had identical 5-5 record. This time Cluj Napoca used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Klaipeda 118-97 on Wednesday night. Cluj Napoca dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas ' 48 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Cluj Napoca looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Neptunas ' players. The best player for the winners was Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) who scored 40 points (!!!) (on 14-of-15 shooting from the field). American forward Nighael Ceaser (202-2000, college: Texas St.) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Latvian guard Rihards Lomazs (189-1996) produced 20 points and 4 assists and point guard Arnas Velicka (195-1999) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Five Cluj Napoca and four Neptunas players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Romanian champion maintains fourth place with 6-5 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Neptunas dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
