There was a minor upset when 4th placed RomanianCluj Napoca (7-6) lost on the road to sixth ranked Italian Umana Venezia (7-6) 90-83 on Wednesday. American point guard RJ Cole (182-1999, college: UConn) nailed 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Serbian forward Stefan Nikolic (203-1997) accounted for 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Serbian center Dusan Miletic (213-1998) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Cluj Napoca in the defeat. Four Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Umana Venezia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Cluj Napoca .
