There was an upset when 4th placed ItalianUmana Venezia (8-7) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked German Hamburg Towers (1-14) 95-87 on Wednesday. Hamburg made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for French center Zacharie Perrin (207-2004, college: Illinois) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Devon Daniels (196-1998, college: NC State, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard RJ Cole (182-1999, college: UConn) with 17 points and the other American import swingman Denzel Valentine (196-1993, college: Michigan St.) scored 15 points. Five Hamburg and four Venezia players scored in double figures. Hamburg Towers maintains tenth place with 1-14 record. Venezia at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Chemnitz and Cluj Napoca.
