Regular Season Round 16: Trento - Besiktas 87-74

Fifth defeat of league's leader TurkishBesiktas (11-5) against fifth ranked Italian Dolomiti Trentino (10-6) 87-74 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Besiktas. Trento made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Trento had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard DJ Steward (185-2001, college: Duke) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. North Macedonian-Italian forward Andrej Jakimovski (203-2001, college: Colorado) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Dolomiti Trentino players scored in double figures. Irish-Canadian power forward Conor Morgan (206-1994, college: UBC) replied with 17 points and American Jonah Mathews (191-1998, college: USC) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Besiktas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dolomiti Trentino have a solid three-game winning streak. Trento moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Besiktas at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom and Bahcesehir. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bourg.
