We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked PolishWKS Slask (4-12) was edged on the road by tenth ranked German Hamburg Towers (2-14) 99-96 on Wednesday. Hamburg made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Hamburg outrebounded Slask 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. Hamburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Devon Daniels (196-1998, college: NC State, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) who scored that evening 26 points and 8 assists and the other American import guard LJ Thorpe (196-1999, college: UNC Asheville) supported him with 14 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points, 10 assists and 5 steals by Jamaican-Canadian guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) did not help to save the game for Slask . Ukrainian point guard Issuf Sanon (194-1999) added 17 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Hamburg maintains tenth position with 2-14 record. Slask lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 12 games lost.
