Everything went according to plan when first ranked FrenchJL Bourg (12-4) outplayed at home 7th ranked German ratiopharm Ulm (7-9) 97-66 on Wednesday. Bourg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to ratiopharm Ulm 's 32. Bourg had a 33-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Bourg looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American guard Mark Smith (193-1999, college: Kansas St.) added 9 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bourg maintains first position with 12-4 record, which they share with H.Jerusalem. Loser ratiopharm Ulm keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Aris and Neptunas.
