ABA Liga cancels 19/20 season, no champion named-May 27, 2020ABA League clubs met today (May 27) in order to decide on the fate of the 2019-20 season and they made the decision to cancel it. They also voted not to proclaim a champion as well as not to relegate any teams while also adding two top teams from the ABA League's Second Division which will increase the lineup to 14 teams next season. ABA purposefully scheduled the meeting after the EuroLeague's and today's decision was heavily influenced by the cancellation of the European elite competition as well the fact that it will keep the same 18 teams for the next season. According to Nova.rs, Partizan, Mornar and Buducnost were the only teams that wished to resume the season.
