Regular Season Round 1: Mega Leks - Un.Olimpija 86-85

A very interesting game took place in Sremska Mitrovica. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Slovenia Un.Olimpija (0-1) to Serbian Mega Leks (1-0) 86-85 on Thursday evening. Un.Olimpija was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 19-11 charge of Mega Leks, which allowed them to win the game. They made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Mega Leks forced 19 Un.Olimpija turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Rade Zagorac (205-95, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Ognjen Jaramaz (193-95, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: Metro St.) answered with 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Serbian Nikola Jankovic (207-94, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Un.Olimpija. Five Mega Leks and four Un.Olimpija players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Mega Leks' next round opponent will be FMP (#9) in Beograd and are hoping to win another game. Un.Olimpija will play at home against Krka (#4) and hope to win that game.
