Regular Season Round 10: MZT Skopje - FMP 89-68

There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (3-7) outscored at home 10th ranked Serbian FMP (3-7) 89-68 on Friday. The game without a history. MZT Skopje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. MZT Skopje had a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (201-92) fired 24 points for the winners. British power forward Daniel Clark (210-88) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. Australian forward Jonah Bolden (208-96, college: UCLA) produced 10 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Dragan Apic (206-95) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending FYR Macedonian champion moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated FMP. MZT Skopje will meet higher ranked Igokea (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. FMP will play against the league's second-placed Buducnost (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
