Regular Season Round 16: Un.Olimpija - Igokea 80-81

The most exciting game of round 16 in the Adriatic League took place in Ljubljana. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked Slovenian Un.Olimpija (7-9) to sixth ranked Bosnian Igokea (9-7) 81-80 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Un.Olimpija. The guests trailed by 17 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 1 point. Igokea made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Strahinja Micovic (205-92) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Serbian guard Vuk Radivojevic (196-83) who added 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Igokea's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Serbian Nikola Jankovic (207-94, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Gregor Hrovat (196-94) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Defending Bosnian champion maintains sixth position with 9-7 record. Un.Olimpija at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Igokea are looking forward to face FMP (#10) in Beograd in the next round. Un.Olimpija will play on the road against Mornar Bar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
