Regular Season Round 22: FMP - Un.Olimpija 89-79

There was a small surprise in Beograd where ninth ranked Serbian FMP (9-13) defeated 7th ranked Slovenian Un.Olimpija (9-13) 89-79 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 35-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. FMP made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Un.Olimpija was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Dejan Davidovac (202-95, agency: BeoBasket) scored 28 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Australian forward Jonah Bolden (208-96, college: UCLA) chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. FMP's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side Serbian Nikola Jankovic (207-94, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Gregor Hrovat (196-94) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FMP moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Un.Olimpija and Karpos Sokoli. Un.Olimpija lost third consecutive game. FMP will face MZT Skopje (#11) at home in the next round.
