Regular Season Round 3: MZT Skopje - Zadar 80-85

There was a minor upset when FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (1-2) was defeated at home by Croatian KK Zadar (1-2) 85-80. MZT Skopje was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. KK Zadar made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. KK Zadar forced 20 MZT Skopje turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by MZT Skopje helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Preston Knowles (187-89, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Luka Bozic (201-96, agency: XL Basketball Agency) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four KK Zadar players scored in double figures. Croatian center Jure Lalic (211-86) answered with 23 points and American point guard Eric Garcia (183-94, college: Wofford) added 15 points in the effort for MZT Skopje. MZT Skopje's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be Partizan (#10) in Beograd.
