Regular Season Round 4: Mega Bemax - Olimpija 77-86

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Serbian Mega Bemax (2-2) against tenth ranked Slovenian Olimpija (2-2) on Sunday night. Host Mega Bemax was defeated by Olimpija in a tough game in Sremska Mitrovica 77-86. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 23-9 run, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Gregor Hrovat (196-94) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Olimpija's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds by Georgian power forward Goga Bitadze (211-99, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Mega Bemax. Point guard Nikola Rebic (188-95, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points for lost side. Four Olimpija and five Mega Bemax players scored in double figures. Defending Slovenian champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Mega Bemax. Olimpija's next round opponent will be Mornar Bar (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Mega Bemax will play against the league's leader Buducnost (#1) in Podgorica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
