Regular Season Round 18: Igokea - Radnicki KG 77-60
Date: January 23, 2011
The game in Aleksandrovac was quite interesting. 7th ranked Serbian Radnicki (9-9) played at the court of eighth ranked Bosnian Igokea (9-9). Igokea did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 77-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Radnicki. The game was mostly controlled by Igokea. Radnicki managed to win fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, agency: Beo Basket) notched 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American guard Brian Chase (178-81, college: Virginia Tech) supported him with 18 points and 5 assists. Four Igokea players scored in double figures. Even 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by swingman Marko Cakarevic (200-88, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Radnicki. Australian-Serbian guard Steven Markovic (190-85) added 8 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Igokea has a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Radnicki. Igokea's next round opponent will be higher ranked Buducnost (#3) in Podgorica and it may be quite challenging game.
