Important game to mention about took place in Aleksandrovac. Tenth ranked Bosnian Igokea (11-12) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-ranked Serbian Partizan (15-8) 88-86 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Partizan. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 33-22 Partizan's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 88-86 at the end of the game. Igokea made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Partizan was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, agency: Beo Basket) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American guard Brian Chase (178-81, college: Virginia Tech) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Igokea players scored in double figures. Igokea's coach Slobodan Klipa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor) came up with 24 points and 6 assists and the other American import forward James Gist (203-86) added 17 points and 4 steals respectively for Partizan in the defeat. Igokea moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending Serbian champion Partizan keeps the second position with eight games lost. They share it with Union Olimpija. Igokea will play against Hemofarm (#9) in Vrsac in the next round. Partizan will play at home against Zadar (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
