Regular Season Round 4: Buducnost - Helios 78-60

Bottom-ranked Slovenian Helios is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to tenth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (2-2) 78-60 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Buducnost. Helios was better in third quarter 16-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Helios to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Buducnost made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Helios 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Helios were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Nikola Vucevic (208-90, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Canadian guard Jermaine Anderson (188-83, college: Fordham) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Buducnost's coach Dejan Radonjic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Croatian forward Drazen Bubnic (207-86) replied with 11 points and Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84) added 12 points in the effort for Helios. Defending Montenegrin champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Siroki WWin. Loser Helios still closes the standings with four games lost. Buducnost will face Radnicki K. (#11) in Kragujevac in the next round. Helios will play at home against Union Olimpija in Ljubljana and look forward to get finally their first victory.
