Regular Season Round 4: Siroki WWin - Maccabi T-A 60-84

Adriatic League top team - Israeli Maccabi T-A (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Bosnian HKK Siroki WWin (2-2) in Siroki Brijeg 84-60. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. HKK Siroki WWin was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to HKK Siroki WWin's 14. Maccabi T-A forced 21 HKK Siroki WWin turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward Lior Eliyahu (206-85, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and American power forward Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama, agency: Avi Zilberman) who added 16 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. At the losing side Croatian guard Fran Pilepic (192-89) responded with 18 points and 5 assists and Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (203-88) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Israeli champion maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Partizan and Union Olimpija. Defending Bosnian champion HKK Siroki WWin keeps the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Buducnost. Maccabi T-A will play against league's second-placed Partizan in Beograd in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. HKK Siroki WWin will play on the road against Cibona (#5) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
