Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Serbian Radnicki K. (1-6) was edged by third ranked Croatian Cedevita (6-1) in Kragujevac 83-80 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But Radnicki K. won second period 24-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cedevita won last quarter 21-20. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Radnicki K. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Croatian guard Dontaye Draper (180-84, college: Charleston) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists. American-Panamanian forward Levour Warren (196-81, college: S.Carolina, agency: SportsTalent) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Mike Scott (203-86, college: Kent St.) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Swedish forward Anton Gaddefors (200-89) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Radnicki K.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cedevita have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 6-1 record behind leader Union Olimpija, which they share with Partizan. Radnicki K. lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Cedevita will face Krka (#12) in Novo Mesto in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Radnicki K. will play on the road against Zvezda in Beograd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
