Very expected game when bottom-ranked Slovenian Zlatorog (0-7) was edged by ninth ranked Croatian KK Zagreb CO (3-4) in Lasko 86-85 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 21-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. KK Zagreb CO made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Mario Kasun (213-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Krunoslav Simon (197-85) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four KK Zagreb CO players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Vladimir Panic (194-82, agency: 011 Sports) answered with 29 points and 6 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Serbian forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Zlatorog. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending Croatian champion moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Siroki WWin. Zlatorog at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. KK Zagreb CO will face Helios (#11) in Domzale in the next round. Zlatorog will play at home against Partizan in Beograd and hopes to get finally their first victory.
