Date: November 27, 2011
One of the most interesting games of round 9 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where fourth ranked Partizan outleveled visiting Hemofarm (4-4) 82-60. The game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Hemofarm was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Partizan players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Hemofarm was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for swingman Marko Cakarevic (200-88, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Partizan players scored in double figures. Guard Mladen Jeremic (196-88, agency: Interperformances) answered with 11 points and Montenegrin power forward Ivan Maras (208-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 13 points in the effort for Hemofarm. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Serbian champion (7-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Union Olimpija and Cedevita. Hemofarm at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Partizan will play against Buducnost (#6) in Podgorica in the next round. Hemofarm will play on the road against Zlatorog in Lasko and hopes to get back on the winning track.
