Very important is a home loss of second ranked Slovenian Union Olimpija (7-3) against ninth ranked Bosnian HKK Siroki WWin (5-5) on Saturday night. Host Union Olimpija was crushed by HKK Siroki WWin in Ljubljana 78-50. HKK Siroki WWin shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (203-88) notched 15 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Croatian guard Fran Pilepic (192-89) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four HKK Siroki WWin players scored in double figures. HKK Siroki WWin's coach Ivan Velic felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 10 points by Serbian-Slovenian point guard Aleksandar Capin (186-82, agency: Beo Basket) did not help to save the game for Union Olimpija. Guard Jaka Blazic (193-90) added 10 points for lost side. Defending Bosnian champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with KK Zagreb CO. Union Olimpija lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Partizan. HKK Siroki WWin will meet league's second-placed Cedevita in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Union Olimpija will play against Partizan in Beograd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
