Regular Season Round 12: Buducnost - Zlatorog 81-75
Date: December 17, 2011
No shocking result in a game in Podgorica where fourth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (8-4) defeated bottom-ranked Slovenian Zlatorog (2-10) 81-75. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Zlatorog took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Buducnost had a 23-21 second period charge getting the lead and Zlatorog was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-81. 28 personal fouls committed by Zlatorog helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Serbian forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, agency: Beo Basket) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and center Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Buducnost players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by center Alen Omic (213-92) did not help to save the game for Zlatorog. Guard Danijel Vujasinovic (180-89) added 8 points and 9 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Buducnost have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Montenegrin champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Partizan and Union Olimpija. Zlatorog at the other side stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Buducnost's next round opponent will be Union Olimpija (#5) in Ljubljana. Zlatorog will play on the road against Krka (#11) in Novo Mesto.
