No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Croatian KK Zagreb CO (8-7) defeated at home 11th ranked Serbian Hemofarm (4-11) 77-67. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zagreb CO. Hemofarm was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for KK Zagreb CO especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. It was a good game for guard Damir Rancic (199-83) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. American forward Sean May (206-84, college: N.Carolina) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin power forward Ivan Maras (208-86, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Mladen Pantic (209-82, agency: Alti Sport) added 16 points in the effort for Hemofarm. Four Hemofarm players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending Croatian champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cibona. Hemofarm lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Krka. KK Zagreb CO will play against higher ranked Buducnost (#4) in Podgorica in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hemofarm will play on the road against Helios (#13) in Domzale and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
