Regular Season Round 18: Krka - Partizan 70-79

Very expected game when 13th ranked Slovenian Krka (4-14) lost to fourth ranked Serbian Partizan (12-6) in Novo Mesto 70-79 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Krka won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Partizan made 20-of-20 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Krka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Milan Macvan (206-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Zoran Dragic (196-89) replied with 17 points and Israeli-French point guard Afik Nissim (180-81, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Krka. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Serbian champion maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Krka lost fifth consecutive game. Defending Slovenian champion keeps the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. Partizan will face Cibona (#9) in Zagreb in the next round where they are favorite. Krka will play at home against Buducnost (#3) in Podgorica.
